Bay in Sepia

Bay in Sepia
Bay in Sepia,

Here's my latest ATC done with burnt umber and a warm white in acrylics.
I enjoyed doing this monochrome and hope to do a larger one.

Donn, I am convinced BOATS and WATER are your specialty! This is absolutely stunning! From the tones to the lines, exceptional execution and mood!!! BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Donn, nice work. The drama in the clouds reminds me of so many masters' works that I've seen. I have never tried a limited palette like this, but i'm now intrigued...

Donn, thank you so much for stopping by at my Porch and giving me your two cents' worth.

Argggh! I don't want to hear that it's never going to change, LOL! But unfortunately I recognize the truth in what you wrote, because I *know* it for myself.

Thank you for adding your very valuable thought to the thread of how to fit art into every day ~ it is good to have the realism of the-way-it-is in there alongside the ideals, too.

& I think what it means for me is that I need to accept that fitting art into my day is never going to be a *comfortable* affair. It is something I am going to need to feel STRONGLY about, otherwise other activities and responsibilities will simply crowd it out.

I also realize that I *am* creative, perhaps more than I have allowed myself to accept. After all, I am creative with words, too, for instance.

... Food for thought ...
